The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondents-police in not investigating Crime No.182 of 2016 of Nidadavole Police Station, West Godavari District, dated 22.10.2016, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 419, 352, 379, 427 read with Section 34 of IPC and Sections 3(1) (r) and 3(2) (va) of SC/ST POA Act, 2015, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondents-police to complete the investigation, at the earliest, and file a final report. 4.

Having regard to the submission made across the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents-police to complete the investigation in Crime No.182 of 2016 of Nidadavole Police Station, West Godavari District and file a final report, in accordance with law, as early as possible, preferably within a period of three to six months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
