The petitioner, who has a serious dispute with respondent No.8 over the property bearing House No.6-3-1090/A/1 (Plot Nos.14 and 17 of Survey No.28), Somajiguda, Hyderabad, filed this Writ Petition with the grievance that though respondent Nos.8 and 9 have encroached a part of his property and have been raising illegal construction thereon, respondent Nos.2 to 7 have not been taking any action on the complaint given by him in this regard.

At the hearing, Mr.P.Kesava Rao, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.2- Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), on instructions, submitted that the application filed by respondent No.8 for grant of building permission is pending in the head office of respondent No.2; that neither respondent No.8 nor respondent No.9 have been trying to raise any new construction; and that they have been trying to demolish the structures already in existence. He has further submitted that

if and when respondent Nos.8 and 9 seek to raise construction without permission, the officials of respondent No.2 will prevent them from doing so. In the light of the above submissions of the learned Standing Counsel for GHMC, which are placed on record, the Writ Petition is closed.
