THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.16974 of 2011 Date: 10.06.2015 Between:

Mr.Shaik Firoz.

.... Petitioner And The Inspector General of Police, Guntur and others.

... Respondents

THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 16974 of 2011 ORDER:

This writ petition was filed alleging interference by the police authorities in the family dispute of the petitioner.

The Station House Officer, Kanigiri Police Station, Prakasham District furnished written instructions dated 08.06.2015 to the office of the learned Government Pleader for Home, wherein he stated that a complaint was made by the

wife of the petitioner, whereupon Crime No.65 of 2011 was registered under Sections 420 and 498-A read with Section 34 I.P.C. on the file of the Kanigiri Police Station. The Investigating Officer took up the investigation and thereafter a charge sheet was filed before the learned Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kanigiri. The matter was taken up for trial in C.C.No.161 of 2011 and ultimately, the petitioner and others were acquitted on 11.09.2014.

In the light of the aforesaid developments, the contention of the petitioner that the police authorities were interfering in his family dispute is found to be factually incorrect. It appears that a criminal offence was alleged against him by his wife, which ultimately led to a full-fledged trial before the competent Court where he was found not guilty.

The Writ Petition therefore does not survive for consideration and it is accordingly dismissed.

Pending Miscellaneous Petitions shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
