THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.V.SESHA SAI WRIT PETITION No.26639 of 2018 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development and Sri S.Lakshminarayana Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for GVMC.

The demand notice, vide bill No.1/108600295133, dated 14.04.2018, issued by the Commissioner, GVMC-second respondent herein, demanding a sum of Rs.4,76,359/-, is under challenge in the present Writ Petition.

In fact, petitioner herein submitted a representation on 16.03.2018 to the second respondent herein, for redressal of his grievance, against the enhancement of the property tax and, according to the petitioner, the same is pending consideration before the second respondent. Learned counsel further submits that, since 2006, petitioner herein has been making representations, for redressal of his grievance. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel, and as the representation, dated 16.03.2018, is pending consideration before the second respondent herein, this Court, in the facts and circumstances of the case, deems it appropriate to dispose of the Writ Petition, directing the second respondent to verify the representation, dated 16.03.2018, said to have been submitted by the petitioner herein, and pass appropriate orders, strictly in accordance with law, within a period

of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, this order will enure to the benefit of the petitioner herein if the petitioner herein pays a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- (rupees one lakh fifty thousand only) to the second respondent herein within a period of two weeks from today. If the said condition is not complied by the petitioner, it is open for the third respondent to proceed as per law pursuant to the impugned order. Accordingly, Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
