HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR And HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER WRIT PETITION No.9417 OF 2017 ORDER: (Per Hon'ble Sri Justice Sanjay Kumar) The petitioner seeks a writ of habeas corpus to produce his sonGullu Singh @ Gullu @ Ranabir Singh, who was subjected to preventive detention pursuant to the order of detention dated 23.12.2016 passed by the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad city, in exercise of power under Section 3(2) of the Telangana Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Dacoits, Drug Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Land Grabbers Act, 1986 and set him at liberty after declaring the order of detention as illegal.

It is now brought to our notice that the Government of Telangana issued G.O.Rt. No.1353, General Administration (Spl. (Law and Order) Department, dated 21.06.2017, revoking the detention of the petitioner's son.

In view of the afore-stated development, the cause in this writ petition no longer survives for consideration on merits. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
