THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 3530 of 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition was filed challenging the action of respondent No.3 in frequently calling the petitioners to the Police Station and harassing them to register the properties in favour of respondent No.5.

It appears that respondent No.5 lodged a complaint against the petitioners and the same was registered as Crime No.113 of 2016, dated 01.12.2016, for the offences punishable under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. Earlier, the petitioners filed W.P.No.43673 of 2016 for quashing the said crime and this Court disposed of the writ petition on 16.12.2016 directing respondent No.2 therein to complete the investigation and file a final report without arresting the petitioners. The petitioners were directed to appear before the Investigating Officer and execute personal bond for a sum of Rs.5,000/- each with one surety for the like sum each. Accordingly, they executed personal bond and furnished sureties. The Police also filed a charge sheet on 25.01.2017 before the Court of Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Kandukuru, Prakasam District and the case is pending. The Police specifically denied the harassment and in view of the denial, no further orders are necessary in the present writ

petition. It is always open to the petitioners to bring it to the notice of this Court or the Court concerned, if any harassment is meted out to them by respondent Nos.3 and 4 in connection with the aforesaid crime.

The writ petition is accordingly closed.
