THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER Writ Appeal No.146 of 2014 Judgment: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) This appeal, under Clause 15 of the Letters Patent, is preferred against the order passed by the learned Single judge in W.P. No. 35218 of 2012 dated 21.1.2013.

While admitting the writ appeal and granting stay of the operation of the order of the learned Single Judge, the Division Bench made it clear that pendency of the writ appeal would not prevent and prejudice the legal representative of the writ petitioner to approach the District Collector for adjudication of the valuation. Sri N. Sriram Murthy, learned counsel for the respondent-writ petitioner, would submit that the legal representatives of the writ petitioner had subsequently approached the District Collector; and, on the market value being determined, the stamp duty was paid thereon, the documents were registered, and the registered documents were also released.

It is evident, therefore, that the cause in the writ petition itself does not survive. The order under appeal is set aside and the writ appeal is disposed of. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
