This writ petition is filed by the petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to quash the FIR No.519 of 2016 on the file of Pet Basheerbad Police Station, Cyberabad.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.

It is stated in the affidavit that the complainant, who is a Sarpanch of Gundla Pochampally, lodged a complaint alleging that the petitioners, who are MPTC members, paid tribute to the father of the nation by offering garlands, in the absence of the complainant. It is contended that the registration of the crime against the petitioners on the said allegations is unjust and arbitrary.

Considering facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following direction:

"Respondents Nos1 and 2 are directed to complete the investigation and file a report in the above crime, in accordance with law, without arresting the petitioners". No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
