HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 12389 of 2015 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking a writ of mandamus to declare the action of respondents in filling up the vacancy of Anganwadi Worker of Koneru Kuppam Village, Shantipuram Mandal, Chittoor District, pending application of the petitioner for promotion as Anganwadi Worker, as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to the Rules and Regulations and recommendations of Parliamentary Committee on Empowerment of Women 2011-2011 and Working Conditions. A consequential direction is also sought to the respondents to promote the petitioner as Anganwadi Worker of Koneru Kuppam Village, Shantipuram Mandal, Chittoor District.

Heard Sri K.V.L. Narasimha Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner, and learned Government Pleader for Women Development and Child Welfare Department, appearing for the respondents. 3.

On 28.04.2015 when the matter came up for admission, while issuing notice before admission, this Court passed an interim order to the effect that the case of the petitioner may be considered for promotion as an Anganwadi Helper, as recommended by the Integrated Child Development Officer, ICDS, Kuppam, on 08.08.2014 and only after taking an appropriate decision and communicating the same to the petitioner, perhaps, the notification issued inviting applications from the open market may be processed.

It has been reported by the learned Government Pleader for the respondents that the case of the petitioner has been considered for promotion to the post of Anganwadi Worker.

In view of the submission made by the learned Government Pleader, the writ petition is closed.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in the writ petition shall also stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
