THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE SANJAY KUMAR WRI T PETI TI ON No.26807 of 2018 ORDER:

The petitioners are aggrieved by the failure on the part of the revenue authorities in carrying out survey, demarcation and fixation of boundary stones on their land admeasuring Acs.5.37 guntas in Survey Nos.287/2, 288/A2, 289/A2 and 289/2 of Huzurnagar Revenue Village and Mandal, Suryapet District.

Perusal of the record reflects that the petitioners made applications in this regard to the Collector, Suryapet District, and the Assistant Director, Survey, Settlement and Land Records, Suryapet District, respondents 2 and 3 herein, and also paid the requisite fee by way of Treasury Challans. In such circumstances, it is not open to the authorities to fail to act upon the duly instituted applications for survey. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of directing the Assistant Director, Survey, Settlement and Land Records, Suryapet District, to consider and take appropriate action upon the applications dated 17.04.2018 and 20.07.2018.

This exercise shall be completed expeditiously and in any event, not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
