Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for the respondents.

The petitioner states that he owns an extent of Ac.50.00 in R.S.No.372 of Kalepatnam village, Mogalthur Mandal, West Godavari district. When he was getting the agricultural work done through his labourers on 19.02.2017 three persons obstructed the said work and he lodged a complaint against those persons. Pursuant to the said complaint, FIR No.42 of 2017 on the file of Mogulthur Police Station was registered against them on 25.02.2017 and the case is under investigation. In spite of registration of the said complaint, when the accused in the said crime are continuing the threat to the person of the petitioner, the petitioner submitted a representation on 07.03.2017 to the respondents and also to the Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Narsapuram and Machilipatnam. The petitioner states that he has to cross two districts in order to go to his lands from the place of his residence. The threat perception of the petitioner is not known to this Court. The present Writ Petition is filed challenging the inaction of the respondents in providing necessary protection.

In view of the complaint lodged with the Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Narsapuram and Machilipatnam on 07.03.2017, this Writ Petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to approach the SubDivisional Police Officers, Narsapuram and Machilipatnam, in person and appraise them of threat to his life and depending on the threat perception the said officers shall pass appropriate orders in accordance with law to

their subordinates as expeditiously as possible. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions pending in this Writ Petition, if any, shall stand closed.
