THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S. RAMACHANDRA RAO SUO MOTU CONTEMPT CASE No.898 of 2017 ORDER :

This Suo-Motu Contempt Case was initiated on the ground that in an order dt.05-12-2016 passed by the Collector & Chairman, DWMA, Chittoor, there is no reference to the letter dt.20-08-2015 of the M.P.D.O., K.V.B.Puram Mandal in spite of a specific direction in an order dt.25-07-2016 in W.P.No.11823 of 2016 directing him to consider the case of the petitioner therein afresh in the light of the said letter.

The District Collector, Chittoor has filed a counter-affidavit stating that the order was passed by his predecessor and that his predecessor, by mistake and oversight, has not mentioned about the letter relating to the M.P.D.O. referred to above and that he has withdrawn the said order by proceedings dt.09-08-2017 and directed the Project Director, DWMA to take further action in the matter. 3.

Having regard to the said action taken by the District Collector, Chittoor and the apology tendered by him, the Contempt Case is closed. No costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
