ORDER:

This Writ Petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, challenges the proceedings No.C/5479/2008 dated 2.12.2008 of the 1st respondent-Revenue Divisional Officer, Ranga Reddy East Division, whereby and whereunder the Revenue Divisional Officer suspended the authorization of the petitioner pending proceedings under Section 6A of the Essential Commodities Act.

2. This Court, while ordering rule nisi on 22.12.2008, in W.P.M.P.No.36542 of 2008 granted interim suspension of the impugned order.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that pending writ petition, the Collector (CS), Ranga Reddy district vide order 29.2.2012 dropped the charge against the petitioner and a copy of the said order is placed on record by the learned counsel for the petitioner. The operative portion of the said order reads as under:

"Heard the arguments of the counsel for the respondent and perused the records placed before me.

On perusal of the report of the ASO, Circle-II, Uppal, the variation detected is only (4) quintals. As the variation is within permissible limits, the charge framed against the respondent is hereby dropped. The ASO, Circle-II, Uppal is hereby directed to release the seized stock to the respondent under proper acknowledgement and submit the same."

4. For the foregoing reasons, the Writ Petition is allowed, setting aside the proceedings No.C/5479/2008 dated 2.12.2008 of the 1st respondent-Revenue Divisional Officer, Ranga Reddy East Division.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
