VRS, J & MGR, J WA No.550 of 2017 HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M. GANGA RAO WRIT APPEAL No.550 OF 2017 JUDGMENT: (per V. Ramasubramanian, J) The appellant has come up with the above writ appeal challenging the dismissal of his writ petition.

2. Heard Mr. K.Joseph, learned counsel for the appellant. Mr.P. Madhusudhan Reddy, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the University and Mr. V. Jagapathi, learned counsel takes notice for the 2nd respondent.

3. The appellant filed writ petition in the year 2008 challenging the non-consideration of his candidature for appointment to the post of Glass Blower, pursuant to a notification issued six years earlier, in 2002. The learned Judge dismissed the writ petition, on the ground of delay and laches. The learned Judge also found that the 2nd respondent had already been selected and was working there and that he also belonged to the SC-B category, the same as of that of the appellant.

4. We find no merits in the writ appeal, as the writ petition filed by the appellant was highly belated and the learned single Judge was right in dismissing the same. Hence, the writ appeal is dismissed.
