Petitioner claims that his father is the absolute owner and in possession of land to an extent of Ac.1.52 cents in T.S.No.364 of Vizianagaram Town and the said land is ancestral property. The name of the father of the petitioner is recorded in 10-1 Adangal and also in Town Survey Register. However, petitioner came to know that the said land is classified as prohibited property in accordance with Section 22-A (1) (c) of the Registration Act. Petitioner gathered information on the status of the property and having found that the document was erroneously included in the list of prohibited properties, on 10.08.2017 petitioner made a representation to the Commissioner of Endowments, Vijayawada, requesting him to rectify the records and delete the property from the list of prohibited properties list. Along with the said representation, relevant documents/correspondence to various authorities is also enclosed. Alleging inaction, this writ petition is filed.

As seen from the date of submission of representation, it was only made on 10.08.2017 and furthermore, no proof is filed in support of the claim that such a representation was already made. Therefore, it cannot be said that there is inaction on the part of the Commissioner in taking a decision warranting issuing of mandamus from this Court.

Having regard to the claim of the petitioner and in view of the directions issued by the Full Bench of this Court in "Vinjamuri Rajagopala Chary Vs State of Andhra Pradesh1", the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Commissioner of Endowments, Gollaprolu, Vijayawada (3rd respondent) to examine the claim of the petitioner made in his representation dated 10.08.2017, if the same is received by him and pass appropriate orders by assigning due reasons in support of his decision, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
