This writ petition is filed seeking declaration that petitioner is entitled for compassionate appointment consequent to the death of his father Mohd. Abdul Waheed on 29.03.2001.

Advocate for petitioner submitted that the scheme of compassionate appointment is dispensed with under G.O.Ms.Nos.202 and 203 dated 27.04.2002 and this scheme is revived under G.O.Ms.No.661 dated 23.10.2008 and in view of the judgment of Hon'ble Supreme Court in V. Sivamurthy v. State of Andhra Pradesh and others, writ petition may be disposed of directing respondents to consider the case of the petitioner in terms of G.O.Ms.No.661 and other connected Government Orders.

4. Considering the request of advocate for petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of, directing respondent No.1 to consider the request of petitioner in terms of G.O.Ms.No.661 dated 23.10.2008 and other connected relevant orders.

5. Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No costs.
