The order dated 19.03.2014 passed by the Joint Collector, Chittoor, in an appeal filed by the petitioners is subjected to challenge in this writ petition. It is however noticed that by the afore-stated order, the Joint Collector, Chittoor, dismissed the appeal under the provisions of Order IX Rule 3 C.P.C. owing to the non-appearance of the parties. In that view of the matter, it would be open to the petitioners to seek restoration of the appeal before the appellate authority in accordance with law.

Reserving liberty to the petitioners to do so, the writ petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
