HONOURABLE Dr. JUSTICE B.SIVA SANKARA RAO CRIMINAL PETITION No.9684 OF 2017 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C by the petitioners/ A2 and A3, seeking to quash the proceedings in Crime No.611 of 2017 dated 24.08.2017 on the file of Chandanagar Police Station, Cyberabad District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498A I.P.C. and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, which is an outcome of the report of the 2nd respondent.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the State, before ordering notice to respondent No.2/ de facto complainant and perused the contents of F.I.R. and the grounds urged in the criminal Petition. On perusal of the F.I.R., there is nothing to interdict the investigation.

Having regard to the above, the Criminal Petition is disposed of, directing the Police not to arrest the petitioners/ A2 and A3 pending investigation. However, this will not prevent the Police to secure the petitioners/ A2 and A3 for the purpose of investigation as and when required. All the defences are left open.
