This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to take steps in the matter of finalization of extension of age of superannuation from 60 to 65 years for the Doctors working in the Major Port Trusts. It is stated that the respondent-authorities have taken a decision vide dated 30-09-2017, to implement the same prospectively but not retrospectively. 2.

It is stated by learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has challenged the proceedings dated 30-09-2017 in separate writ petition being WP No.33913 of 2017 for not applying the decision retrospectively. Inasmuch as this writ petition is filed only to take steps in the matter of extension of age of superannuation from 60 to 65 years and a decision is taken by the respondentsauthorities, nothing survives for consideration in this writ petition. This writ petition has become infructuous and it is accordingly dismissed. Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this case are also dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
