SHYAM PRASAD WRIT PETITION No. 41980 of 2016 ORDER: (Per VRS,J) As against an order of the Andhra Pradesh Administrative Tribunal, dismissing his original application on the ground of availability of alternative remedy, a Police Constable, who was discharged during the period of probation, has come up with the present writ petition.

Heard Mr. V. Maheswar Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner.

The Tribunal has not gone into the merits of the case. It has merely directed the petitioner to exhaust the alternative remedy. Many times, the alternative remedies prove to be effective as well as speedy. If the writ petition is admitted, the grievance of the petitioner may not be redressed within a timeframe. Therefore, in his own interest, it is good for the petitioner to go before the appellate authority and take a chance. Hence, giving liberty to the petitioner to file a statutory appeal, and directing the appellate authority not to hold

any delay in filing the appeal against the petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
