The petitioner was working as fair price shop dealer at Edlapadu Village and Mandal, Guntur District. While so, the order of cancellation of authorization of the petitioner was passed by the third respondent-Revenue Divisional Officer, Narasaraopet on 14.04.2005. Against the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal to the second respondent-Joint Collector, Guntur. The second respondent dismissed the appeal on 18.10.2005,

confirming the order passed by the third respondent dated 14.04.2005. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed a revision before the first respondent-District Collector, Guntur on 13.07.2007 and when the said revision was not disposed of by the first respondent, the present writ petition is filed.

Even after lapse of two years of filing the writ petition, no counter affidavit is filed by the first respondent. In the circumstances, this Court deems it fit to direct the first respondent to dispose of the revision filed by the petitioner on 13.07.2007 against the order passed by the second respondent dated 18.10.2005 within a period of 90 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after following due process of law, if not already disposed of. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. The miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
