Heard Smt M.Shalini, learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3. 2.

Learned counsel would submit that in alike situations, where identical reliefs were sought, this Court has passed identical orders following the first order in Writ Petition No.9570 of 2017 dated 06.04.2017. Last of such order was passed on 11.05.2017 in Writ Petition No.16981 of 2017 thus:

"The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to declare the inaction of respondent No.3 - Commissioner, in renewing fitness of the petitioners' vehicles despite repeated requests, as being illegal and arbitrary.

It is submitted across the Bar that, in similar circumstances, this Court, in W.P.No.9570 of 2017 dated 06.04.2017, had directed the respondent - authorities to allow the petitioners forthwith to submit their applications through online and process the same, as expeditiously as possible, and complete the testing formalities within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. This Court made it clear that the respondent - authorities may take action against the petitioners for furnishing the alleged fake addresses and getting their vehicles registered in accordance with law.

In the circumstances, the Writ Petition is allowed in terms of the order of this Court in W.P.No.9570 of 2017 dated 06.04.2017."

In terms of the aforesaid order in W.P.No.16981 of 2017 dated 11.05.2017, the present Writ Petition is allowed.

ASN,J WP_17302_2017 Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this petition shall stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
