Respondents The Court made the following:
THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.34078 OF 2017 ORDER:
Heard.
2.
Petitioners allege that they are the permanent residents of Sakunala Village, Orvakal Mandal, Kurnool District. They are eking out their livelihood by working as Carpenters. They allege that the land to an extent of Acs.19.65 cents in Survey No.189 of Sakunala Village, Orvakal Mandal, is an Inam land granted in favour of their ancestors. They claim that in Column No.16 of R.S.R., the Inam is described as 'Vadla/Carpenter' and the same was granted in favour of their forefathers and for several decades they have been cultivating the said land. However, the said land was acquired by the Government, but no compensation was paid to the petitioners on the ground that no patta was granted to them under the Andhra Pradesh (Andhra Area) Inams (Abolition and Conversion into Ryotwari) Act, 1956 (for short, 'the Act'). Therefore, the petitioners submitted representations on 28.06.2015 and 10.09.2015 before the Revenue Divisional Officer and Deputy Tahsildar (Inams) to grant pattas. Alleging inaction on the said representations, this Writ Petition is filed. 3.
Since the petitioners claim that their grievance is agitated before the competent authority and the same is pending consideration, this Writ Petition is disposed of, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directing the Deputy Tahsildar (Inams), Kurnool District, to examine the claim of the petitioners vis-à-vis the provisions of the Act and pass appropriate
orders as warranted by law by assigning due reasons in support of his decision and the said decision shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in the Writ Petition shall stand closed.
