SMT. JUSTICE T. RAJANI CRIMINAL PETITION NO. 8209 OF 2018 O R D E R :

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioner/A-1 under section 438 of Cr.P.C., seeking for grant of anticipatory bail in Crime No. 6 of 2018 Narayanapur Police Station, Rachakonda District registered for the offences punishable under section 409, 420, 468, 471 read with 34 of I.P.C.

2. Heard Sri C. Sharan Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner/A-1 and the learned Public Prosecutor for the respondent/State.

3. As per the case of the prosecution, the petitioner is the Manager of Canara Bank, Puttapaka Branch, Narayanapur Mandal, who with the help of A-2, is stated to have siphoned huge amount, amounting to Rs.86,00,000/-.

4. The counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was dismissed from service and inspite of the same she deposited Rs.45,00,000/- in the Bank. But in the considered opinion of this Court the said act of the petitioner does not entitle her for grant of anticipatory bail. The allegations made against the petitioner are grave in nature. Hence, considering the above, it is opined that it is not a fit case for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. In the result, this Criminal Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to seek regular by surrendering before the concerned court within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On such surrender, the concerned court shall consider the bail application on the same day, subject to the pressure of work.

6. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
