HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO Writ Petition No.20389 of 2017 O R D E R :
The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to issue a writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent in disconnecting the water supply connection to petitioner's premises bearing CAN No.615805535 as illegal and arbitrary and consequently direct respondent to set off the water charges of Rs.14,033/- paid by the petitioner for the disconnected period from August, 2016 to May, 2017 in the bills for the forthcoming months.

Heard Sri Asma Raza, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri T.Sudhakar Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent and perused the material available on record. 3.
Sri T.Sudhakar Reddy, learned standing counsel for the respondent, submitted that since water pipelines are very old in nature, they have removed the same with new pipelines. If the petitioner is entitled for water connection, the same will be considered on the basis of her representation dated 14.2.2017.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the respondent is directed to restore water connection to the premises of
the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, more preferably within a period of eight weeks.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Consequently, Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in the Writ Petition shall stand closed.
