THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.33652 of 2015 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner is that its mining lease application dated 11.11.2008 for quarrying black granite over an extent of 4.000 hectares in the gap area of Vengalarajakuppam Village, Palasamudram Mandal, Chittoor District, is kept pending though it has complied with all the necessary requirements and documentation.

Despite the matter being adjourned twice to enable the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology to get instructions, he states that he was unable to do so.

In that view of the matter, instead of keeping the writ petition pending on the file of this Court unnecessarily, it is disposed of directing the second respondent, the Director of Mines and Geology, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, to consider the petitioner's pending mining lease application dated 11.11.2008 and pass appropriate orders thereon in accordance with law. In the event there is any shortcoming in the said application, the second respondent is at liberty to inform the petitioner of the same as an opportunity to make good such shortcoming. This exercise shall be completed expeditiously and in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
