HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.27553 OF 2018 O R D E R :
This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents 6 and 7 in calling the petitioner to the police station. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that on the complaint of the 8th respondent a case in Crime No.386/2018, dated 13.07.2018 was registered against one Srinivas who worked as Supervisor with the petitioner, as the said Srinivas has been making phone calls threatening the 8th respondent with dire consequences; that during the course of investigation it came to light that the petitioner is also making threatening phone calls to the 8th respondent/complainant; that investigation is in progress; that as on today no crime is registered against the petitioner; and that the investigation will be done as per the procedure. The allegation that on 27.07.
2018, the Head Constable of the respondent police station approached the petitioner and asked him to step into his car; and that the respondent police called the petitioner in cell phone to attend the police station on 25.07.2018, were all denied. Recording the aforesaid submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of. However, since no crime is registered against the petitioner as on today, the respondent police shall not interfere with life and liberty of the petitioner except in accordance with Law.
saying that this order will not preclude the respondent police from conducting investigation and taking action, if petitioner's involvement is found in the aforesaid crime. No order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
