THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.24320 OF 2012
O R D E R
The grievance of the petitioner was that the Station House Officer, Amangal Police Station, Mahaboobnagar District, was interfering with his civil disputes with the second respondent in relation to certain land. Relying on the written instructions dated 13.08.2012 furnished by the Station House Officer, Amangal Police Station, Mahaboobnagar District, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home informed this Court that the petitioner was an accused in two crimes registered on the file of Amangal Police Station. Crime No.101 of 2012 was registered under Sections 427 and 447 IPC while Crime No.102 of 2012 was also registered under Sections 427 and 447 IPC. Both the offences related to different incidents.
In the light of the aforestated facts, the petitioner cannot complain of interference by the police with his life and liberty. Once a crime is registered, it is the duty of the police authorities to investigate the same and in that context summon and examine those involved therein. Needless to state, the police are bound to abide by law while undertaking such exercise.
Making this position clear, the writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
