This petition is filed by the petitioner, who is the accused, seeking to quash of the proceedings in Crime No.118 of 2011 on the file of Mamnoor Police Station, Warangal Urban District. The offences alleged are under Section 7(1) of the A.P.Assigned (POT) Act, 1977.

Heard the counsel for the petitioner and the Public Prosecutor appearing for the 1st respondent. None appears for the 2nd respondent in spite of notice.

The counsel for the petitioner submits that this petition is filed seeking for quash of the case, when it is at the stage of crime, but subsequently the case was investigated into by the police and the charge sheet is also filed and hence, this matter has become infructuous. He further submits that he also filed a separate petition seeking for quash of the proceedings in the said charge sheet.

Recording the said submission, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. Interim stay granted by this court on 01.12.2011 in CRLPMP No.13892 of 2011 shall stand vacated. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
