The grievance of the petitioner in this case was as to the alleged inaction on the part of the police authorities in conducting and completing investigation in Crime No.96 of 2012 on the file of Proddatur I Town Police Station, YSR Kadapa District.

Relying on the written instructions dated 27.07.2015 furnished by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Proddatur I Town Police Station, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home informed this Court that the petitioner had lodged a complaint with the police against one Yerraballi Sudhakar Reddy and others stating that they had wrongfully restrained him and threatened him with dire consequences apart from trespassing into his land and interfering with his construction. Basing on the said complaint, Crime No.96 of 2012 was registered under Sections 341, 447 and 506 I.P.C. read with Section 34 I.P.C. on the file of the Proddatur I Town Police Station. Upon due investigation, the police authorities found that a prima facie case was made out against the six accused therein and accordingly they were arrested and sent to judicial custody.

A charge sheet was also laid before the learned I Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Proddatur, on 30.12.2012 vide C.C.No.22 of 2013 and the case is stated to be pending trial. In the light of the afore-stated developments, the grievance of the petitioner as to necessary action being taken in Crime No.96 of 2012 on the file of Proddatur I Town Police Station stands redressed and the cause does not survive for consideration on merits. The writ petition is therefore dismissed.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
