THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.19250 OF 2011

O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioner in this case was that the police authorities were not investigating Crime Nos.575 and 617 of 2011 on the file of the Banjara Hills Police Station, Hyderabad.

The Inspector of Police, Banjara Hills Police Station, Hyderabad, furnished written instructions to the office of the learned Government Pleader for Home, wherein he stated that Crime No.575 of 2011, which has been registered under Sections 420, 468 and 471 IPC on the file of the Banjara Hills Police Station, Hyderabad, was referred as closed due to lack of evidence on 21.04.2015 and a final report to this effect was filed under Section 173 Cr.P.C. before the competent criminal Court.

In so far as Crime No.617 of 2011, he stated that the crime was registered under Sections 324, 354 and 506 IPC on the file of the Banjara Hills Police Station, Hyderabad, and a charge-sheet was laid before the competent criminal Court and the case was awaiting trial in P.R.C.No.56 of 2014. In the light of the aforestated developments, it is for the petitioner to take recourse to appropriate remedies in accordance with law, if she is aggrieved by the conclusion arrived at by the police authorities in so far as Crime No.575 of 2011 is concerned. In so far as the other crime is concerned, her grievance stands redressed.

The writ petition is accordingly closed reserving liberty to the petitioner to take steps in so far as Crime No.575 of 2011 is concerned in accordance with law. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
