Petitioner was appointed as Assistant Programme Officer in Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Generation Scheme. By the order impugned, he was placed under suspension. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner sought to contend that petitioner is no way concerned with the allegations levelled against him and therefore suspension is not warranted in law. 4.

Prima facie a reading of the order impugned would show that some financial irregularities were attributed against petitioner. It is not in dispute that the District Collector, Kurnool District, is competent to place the petitioner under suspension. Thus, the Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned order. 5.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that some time limit may be fixed for completing the disciplinary proceedings initiated against petitioner.

Having regard to the said submission, if the disciplinary authority intends to initiate disciplinary action against the petitioner, said action may be initiated against him and concluded within a period of two months. If, for any reason, disciplinary authority does not complete the disciplinary action initiated against petitioner within the time fixed, further continuation of

suspension of petitioner shall be reviewed within a period of two weeks thereafter.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, filed in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
