The writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to appoint the petitioner as Chairperson, Board of Studies and as Head, Department of Telugu in the first respondent university in view of the fact that the third respondent's term as Chairman & Head of Department, Telugu, Osmania University lapsed with effect from 19.07.2004 and consequently declare the action of 1st and 2nd respondents in so far as permitting the third respondent to continue as Chairman, Board of Studies & Head of Department, Telugu, Osmania University despite of expiry of two year term on 19.07.2004; as highly arbitrary, illegal and unconstitutional and pass appropriate orders. No representation on behalf of the petitioner on 28.04.2016.
