This writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed by the petitioner questioning the action of the sole respondent, Kurnool Municipal Corporation, in enhancing the rate from Rs.6/- to Rs.20/- per each sheep slaughtered in the slaughter house and introducing the system of collection of Rs.20/- per day from each of the shops located in Municipal Corporation area, which are selling sheep meat, as per the notification published in Kurnool District Gazette for the year 2013-14.

At the hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner association would submit that in view of the passage of time, the relief claimed in this writ petition has become infructuous and, therefore, the writ petition may be dismissed as infructuous reserving liberty to the petitioner association to challenge, if necessary, any subsequent notification in respect of the same subject matter.

There is no representation for the sole respondent/Kurnool Municipal Corporation.

Recording the said submission, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous reserving liberty to the petitioner association to challenge, if necessary, as per law, any subsequent notification relating to the same subject matter.
There shall be no order as to costs.
