There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner, though the matter is listed under the caption 'for dismissal'. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents informs the Court that the case of the petitioner was considered for subsequent promotions, during the pendency of the writ petition.

In view of the aforesaid submission, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication and accordingly, the writ petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed in consequence.
