It is the case of the petitioner that she was issued caste certificate as "Settibalija"

(BC-B) on 10-04-2018 by the 4th respondent and when she applied for digital caste certificate, she was issued caste certificate as she belongs to "Settibalija" as 'OC'.

Even in the written instructions produced by learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare, it is not disputed that the petitioner was issued caste certificate by the 4th respondent as she belongs to "Settibalija" (BC-B). The 4th respondent having issued caste certificate to the petitioner as she belongs to Settibalija" (BC-B), it is not known why the digital certificate was issued as "Settibalija" (OC). As long as, the caste certificate issued by the 4th respondent is valid, the respondents cannot issue different caste certificate. In view of the same, the writ petition is allowed and accordingly, respondents are directed to issue digital certificate to the petitioner basing on "Settibalija" (BC-B) certificate already issued to her. As a sequel to the disposal of this petition, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
