HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.27752 OF 2018 O R D E R :

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of respondents 3 and 4 in frequently calling the petitioner to the police station, on the guise of enquiry, without there being any crime registered against the petitioner.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions stating that on the complaint of one Lingaiah a case was registered against the brother-in-law of the petitioner in Crime No.223/2018, under Section 379 IPC; that investigation is in progress; that as the brother-in-law of the petitioner who is accused in the aforesaid crime, is absconding, the respondent police called the petitioner to know the whereabouts of his brotherin-law; and that except that the respondent police did not interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioner at any point of time. The other allegations made by the petitioner are denied. Recording the aforesaid submission of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, writ petition is disposed of. However, the respondent police shall not interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioner, except in accordance with law. No order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition, shall stand closed.
