Petitioner was initially appointed as Field Assistant in M. Venkatayapalem Gram Panchayat, Khammam Rural Mandal, Khammam District. She resigned her post on 07.04.2016 on health grounds. Few days thereafter, she made representation dated 11.08.2016 to the Project Director requesting for re-engagement, but the said request was rejected. Thereafter, she made further representation dated 28.08.2017 to the District Collector, Khammam District, requesting to provide employment as Field Assistant by explaining the health condition of her husband.

It is not in dispute that petitioner ceased to be employee, consequent to her resignation from service in April, 2016. Thus, the relief as prayed in the Writ Petition to set aside the resignation order cannot be granted.

Since the petitioner submitted representation, dated 28.08.2017, to the District Collector, Khammam District, explaining some personal problems and requested to consider her case for appointment, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Collector, Khammam District, to examine the feasibility of providing employment to the petitioner as ventilated in her representation dated 28.08.2017 and take appropriate decision as

warranted by law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
