The prayer in this criminal petition is as under: "...to quash the proceedings in Crime No.5/RCTOGL/2014 on the file of the P.S., ACB, Ongole, Prakasam District against the petitioner/ accused".
When the matter is called, Sri A.Murali, learned counsel for the petitioner would inform the Court that the matter has become infructuous.
Learned Standing Counsel/Special Public Prosecutor representing the ACB would inform that the investigation in the crime was completed and charge sheet was also filed. The trial Court has already taken cognizance of the matter. In that view of the matter and taking into consideration the submission made by Sri A.Murali, learned counsel for the petitioner, the criminal petition has become infructous. Therefore, the criminal petition is dismissed as infructuous, since no further cause would survive for adjudication.
