Heard. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, this Writ Petition is being disposed of at the stage of admission. 2.

The case of the petitioner is that he was elected as General Secretary of the Telangana Class- IV Employees Central Association in the Elections held in December, 2016. He alleges that the General Secretary is entitled to be provided on duty facility, if he travels from one place to another place. The Association made a representation, dated 28.12.2016, informing the Chief Secretary to Government that the petitioner was elected as General Secretary and he should be provided on duty facility. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the office of the Association is located in Hyderabad, whereas the petitioner is presently posted in Nizamabad and it is causing lot of hardship to the petitioner as no decision is taken by the Government on the representation made by Association. In the interest of the welfare of the Association, immediate decision ought to have been taken by the competent authority granting on duty facility.

Since the Association has already submitted a representation, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Government of Telangana, the 1st respondent, to take a decision on the said representation, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a

period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, filed in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
