When the matter is called, Sri P.Venkanna, learned counsel for petitioner, seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the Criminal Petition with a liberty to file an application before Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise for release of the vehicle. Permission is granted.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as withdrawn. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
