THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN Contempt Case No.1605 of 2011 ORDER:

This Contempt Case is filed alleging violation of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.21008 of 2011 dated 05.08.2011, whereby the respondent was directed to dispose of the appeal and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law on or before 31.08.2011. A counter affidavit is filed by the respondent, wherein it is stated that the appeal was disposed of on 19.12.2011 and the delay of three and half months in complying with the order of this Court has been caused only on account of the request made by the counsel for the appellant for postponement of the case.

As the order of this Court has been complied with, albeit with a delay of three and half of months, which is attributed to the petitioner, I see no reason to proceed against the respondents under the Contempt of Courts Act.

The Contempt Case is, accordingly, closed. Contempt Applications, pending, if any, shall also stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
