THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P. KESHAVA RAO WRIT PETITION No.24504 of 2013 ORDER:

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. 2.

The prayer sought in the writ petition is as under:- "... to issue order or orders more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the inaction of the Respondent No.3 herein to act upon the complaint dt:24-07-2013 seeking action against the Respondent No.4 herein and protection to the life and personal liberty of the petitioner herein and pass such other order or orders deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case in the interest of Justice."

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 brought to the notice of this Court that pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.26 of 2012 was registered against the 4th respondent. After completion of investigation, a charge sheet was filed on 12.06.2012 before the concerned Court. After taking cognizance of the offence, the matter was numbered as S.C.No.3 of 2013 before the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Adilabad, and after full-fledged trial, the case ended in conviction on 31.01.2015 for the offence under the provision of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

In the light of the above facts and circumstances, this Court is of the opinion that the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed by virtue of registration of a crime and filing of a charge sheet. Therefore, this Court is of the considered view that no further cause would survive in the writ petition.

Accordingly, the writ petition is closed.

Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
