Sri V. Srinivasa Rao, v. The Government Of Andhra Pradesh,
HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE V. RAMASUBRAMANIAN AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.SHANKAR NARAYANA Writ Petition No.4340 of 2008 ORDER: (per Hon'ble Sri Justice V. Ramasubramanian) This writ petition was filed by way of Public Interest Litigation questioning the alienation of land in an extent of 65 acres in Sy.No.1009 of Kukatpally Village, Balanagar Mandal, Hyderabad District by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, in favour of the A.P. Housing Board.
2. As seen even in the averments contained in the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition, the agreement was dated 28.11.2005 and the writ petition was filed in February, 2008. It is positively asserted by the learned counsel for the Board that even by the time the PIL was filed, the 2nd respondent-Housing Board and the 3rd respondent-Corporation, to whom the lands were allotted, have completed allotment of several plots and several houses have also come up in the Housing Board colony. Now after a period of more than eight years, no relief can be granted and nothing survives in this writ petition.
3. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed. There is no order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous applications if any, in this writ petition shall stand closed.
