O R D E R

The grievance of the first petitioner in this case was that the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) did not fix his pay in accordance with the Award dated 23.08.1993, passed by the Labour Court-II, Hyderabad, in I.D.No.210 of 1992, and the order dated 23.08.1993 in E.P.No.8 of 1996 arising therefrom. By the order in the EP, the Labour Court-II, Hyderabad, permitted the first petitioner herein to file his calculation memo with respect to the arrears due to him pursuant to the Award in I.A.No.210 of 1992 and thereupon, the APSRTC was to refix his pay scale and pay the arrears to the first petitioner.

Upon the death of the first petitioner, his legal representatives came on record as petitioners 2 to 4.

Today, Sri N. Praveen Reddy, learned counsel representing Sri N. Vasudeva Reddy, learned counsel for the APSRTC, produced original cheque No.709105 dated 25.07.2015 drawn on the State Bank of Hyderabad, Sangareddy Branch, Medak District, for a sum of Rs.35,343/- . This cheque was drawn in the name of the second petitioner, the widow of the first petitioner. Sri N. Praveen Reddy, learned counsel, states that this amount is in full and final settlement of the arrears due and payable to the first petitioner pursuant to the Award and the order passed by the Labour Court-II, Hyderabad. The cheque aforestated was handed over to

Sri J.M. Naidu, learned counsel for the petitioners, in Court and was duly acknowledged by him. In the event the petitioners have any grievance as regards the quantification of the arrears due to the first petitioner, it shall be open to them to seek redressal of the same by way of independent proceedings in accordance with law.

The writ petition is closed in the light of the aforestated developments. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
