THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO CRIMINAL PETITION No.3378 of 2013 ORDER:

Petitioner-Accused approached this Court with a prayer to quash the proceedings initiated against him in C.C.No.110 of 2013 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Kurnool, wherein he is facing trial for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Heard and perused the material available on record. After arguing for sometime, the learned counsel for the petitioner, while not pressing for the main prayer, confined his arguments only to the extent of dispensing with the presence of the petitioner before the trial Court.

In any event, considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the presence of the petitioner before the trial Court is dispensed with except on the dates the learned Judge insists for the same and the petitioner shall be properly represented by his counsel. With the above observation, this criminal petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions pending in this criminal petition, if any, shall stand closed.
