This Writ Petition is filed to declare the action of the fifth respondent in granting fishing rights in favour of the sixth respondent, as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to G.O.Ms.No.776, Food and Agriculture (FISH.II) Department, dated 31.12.1990.

This Court, while admitting the Writ Petition on 23.06.2009, directed the fifth respondent not to grant fishing rights in favour of the sixth respondent pending disposal of the Writ Petition. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the fishing rights are being given to the petitioner society and, hence, no further orders are necessary in the Writ Petition.

Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
