ORAL ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for petitioner, learned Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 3, learned special standing counsel for respondent No.4 and learned standing counsel for respondents 5 and 6 and with their consent the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage. 2.
Petitioner is working as 'Senior-Mate'. This writ petition is filed challenging the orders of the Project Director dated 20.7.2018 and consequential order of the Mandal Parishad Development Officer (for short MPDO) dated 27.7.2018. By the first order, Project Director directed MPDO to place the petitioner under suspension and by the second order, MPDO placed the petitioner under suspension.

During the course of hearing, learned Special Standing Counsel for fourth respondent fairly submitted that the Project Director is competent authority to place 'Senior-Mate' under suspension. 4.
Reading of the order dated 20.7.2018 would show that instead of he taking a decision to place the petitioner under suspension, he directs the MPDO to place the petitioner under suspension, which is wholly illegal. 5.
Thus, the order dated 20.7.2018 passed by Project Director and order dated 27.7.2018 passed by MPDO placing the petitioner under suspension are set aside. However, liberty is granted to the Project Director to take further course of action as warranted by law, including disciplinary action, if so warranted. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed.
