Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

With the consent of both the parties, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present Writ Petition came to be filed with the following prayer:

'For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is hereby prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the second respondent in not disposing of the appeal filed by the petitioner as illegal and arbitrary'.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioners restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner wherein stay was granted in her favour pending disposal of the appeal. The said fact is not disputed by the learned Government Pleader. 5.

As seen from the record, the appeal is said to have been filed in the year 2014, stay has been granted in favour of the petitioner but the appeal is pending since two years.

Having regard to the above circumstances, the request of the petitioner can be considered directing the second respondent to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner against the orders of the Joint Collector dated 12.05.2009, passed in proceeding No.D.Dis No.(E4)/ 16224/ 2008, as early as possible, preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. 8.
