THE HONOURABLE DR. JUSTICE D.NAGARJUN CRIMINAL PETITION No.8274 of 2017 O R D E R:

This Criminal Petition is filed seeking quashment of FIR in Crime No.330 of 2017 on the file of Jangaon Police Station, Warangal Commissionerate, registered against petitioners/Accused Nos.1, 7 and 8 for the offences under Sections 120 (b), 409, 420, 406 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 7 of the Essential Commodities Act and Section 3 read with Section 7(e) & (a) of the T.S. Public Distribution.

No representation on behalf of the petitioners. Sri T.V.Ramana Rao, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent/State is present.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent/State has submitted a copy of Letter dated 24.12.2020 addressed by Sub-Inspector of Police, Jangaon Police Station, Warangal Commissionerate, wherein it is stated that the case has been referred as "Lack of Evidence" on 24.08.2020 and a final report has been filed before Principal Judicial First Class Magistrate, Jangaon.

In view of the facts and circumstances, since the investigation is completed and charge sheet is filed, the very purpose of filing the Criminal Petition to quash Crime No.330 of 2017 is defeated and thereby the Criminal Petition has become infructuous and liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, this Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous.

As a sequel, pending Miscellaneous Applications, if any, shall stand closed.
